BIG INTRUDERS

BIG INTRUDERS

Big Intruders are making their way into the upcoming show.  I have been working on a series of 8 larger watercolors for the small INTRUDERS show.   I will chose the best of 5 to be in the exhibition.
It's definitely a race to the finish!

One more beetle.. and one more butterfly are in the works.  So far.. I like these four.

What do you think?

Love the big guys, too!!!
I have a question, if you have the time and inclination to answer...
Do you use primarily tube colors? Or do you pre-mix your own? Or wet the area to be painted, and apply the colors separately, and then let them mix on the paper?

thank you Doug!!! always great to hear your words... thank you for being supportive of my work.

Studio!

I use primarily tube colors w very little mixing. i mix pure color on the paper.. and watch the paint mingle. i paint flat w lots of saturated pigment and water. I frequently use two palettes and a lot of brushes to insure very pristine color. hope this helps!

Thank you Sergio... I have also begun to appreciate bugs more too. They are quite beautiful and not as scary!
