Italy Madonna

In a crook in the wall stood a small graceful Madonna shrine. It was so discreet and precious and quiet.

Nothing disturbed the serenity of it's presence. I was thinking that in the USA it might have been disturbed by kids.... but here.... it was allowed peace.

What a wonderful sacred sight -- in the peaceful hills of Luca.

Lovely. Love the warms against the cools. In Italy religion is integrated into everyday life, not something apart from it, just for Sundays - or so it feels to me.
